Coptic Stitch Bookbinding - Spring 2018

In this class, participants will learn one exposed spine bookbinding technique, called a Coptic Stitch.  We will begin with raw materials, and understand how to cover book boards, prepare them for sewing, cut/fold signatures and a Coptic stitch.

Two day workshop: April 24 & 26, 5:30-8:30pm

Christine Darragh, owner and operator of Dark Oak Bindery has been making and selling handbound books and journals since 2010, after taking classes at Hollander’s in Ann Arbor, MI, a nationally-known resource for bookbinding instruction and supplies.
